Pincushion

Pincushions are one of the most unusual yet beautiful fynbos plants. These plants depend on symbiosis for survival. The pincushion’s seed have a fleshy appendage that attract ants. The ants carry their seeds underground and into its nests. There the seeds are safe from predators, and can remain until a fire comes, allowing the seeds to germinate. This is a real life metaphor showing us that when people work together, much can be achieved!
