Gather

This artwork forms part of a series of cyanotypes inspired by nature. The series draws parallels between the act of gardening, self-growth and the process of making art. I used digital negatives and indigenous leaves and flowers picked from my garden for this cyanotype. The definition of the word “Gather” means pick or harvest such as gathering flowers, gathering and accumulating ideas or to gather oneself by mustering strength – all acts that are present during the creative process.
