Flowering fynbos from the Stilbaai area, slightly withering, against a faded blue background. I used a muted palette to capture the pang of sadness I feel, knowing how brief the lives of these pretty flowers are, once we pick them. The pale blue of the background gives a serene feel to the overall mood, letting us know that in nature, all is well and exactly as it should be
